About JT Priest

JT is a senior and varsity baseball player at El Toro High School in Lake Forest, California. He maintains a high level of engagement in academics, baseball, friends, family and his faith. He is goal oriented and ready for what comes next while at a four year university and playing next level baseball. JT plans on obtaining his undergraduate degree in business, and his MBA thereafter.

When JT was 4 years old, he began his baseball career. He was a multisport athlete through his sophomore year in high school, however has always maintained a near year round baseball schedule. He has placed his entire athletic focus on baseball for the past several years, which was rewarded last year at El Toro High School by being the only junior to start every varsity game, and leading the team in hitting and OBP. Although he was a leading offensive player again last year, he is best known for his defensive strengths - quickness, range, soft hands, excellent reads, a solid arm and a high baseball IQ. He was recognized by the coaching staff by achieving the coaches award to round out another fun and successful year in 2021.

JT often speaks to how fortunate he has been to have had so many excellent coaches. He currently plays for coach Gonzales who manages one of the most successful High School baseball programs countrywide over the past several decades, and JT benefits from coach Gonzales' knowledge and mentorship. Having coach Halasz as a travel ball (TeamCal) and infield coach/mentor has helped JT evolve to new heights in baseball. Coach LeVier has been instrumental in developing JT's swing over the past 7 years. CBC travel ball coach Bill Tolman helped set the foundation for JT to build upon at an early age. JT is grateful for each coach and all they have helped him with.

JT has maintained an active lifestyle that has continuously included youth group, friends, family, working out and playing baseball.
